# Text-heavy presentation

Hey Everyone,  
I just picked up flash a month ago and I’m trying to finish a flash project for my job. Right now I’m running into problems with the text of my presentation. Its very text heavy, essentially I’m using a flash presentation to frame an annual program evaluation.

Essentially the problem is this: I need to find a visually appealing, non distracting, effective way to include pages worth of scrolling text into my presentation. I’ve tried a number of things already:  
-making a separate swf with just pasted text and importing that into my presentation via the scroll pane component. I wasn’t happy with this because in the original text swf I was unable to format the text (with indentation etc) in an acceptable way.  
-I tried using the text area component but I also had trouble formatting the text.

My ideal solution would include a translucent predefined text box with scrolling capabilities (that don’t appear visually appalling) and would allow for paragraph/font formatting etc.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I’m really struggling here and would love some opinions. Please keep in mind that I’m very much a flash beginner and I’d really appreciate it if you could include instructions (or a tutorial link) as well as an example along with your idea.
