# textArea component problems

My Text Area Component does not scroll smoothly. When click on the scroll down arrow button it take you right to the bottom of text field. Also when you scroll the text area and release it all the text becomes selected. How can I get the text area from not being selected? This Text Area Component is inside of a loaded swf file.

don’t use the component 😉  
create your own text area and scrollbar  
DIY!
