I just started using Flash CS3 over the weekend. I have a fair amount of experience working with Photoshop so some parts of Flash weren’t a big stretch for me. What I seem to be having issues with is getting things to line up properly. I draw guides around the stage area but when I drag stuff over from the library they don’t seem to snap. I checked and I do have the checkbox checked for snap-to-guide but I’m just not seeing it happen.

I’m trying to make a background for a website where the background images change so the stage is 1024 x 650. What I end up with is an image sits still for the 20 seconds but when the fade happens the image appears to jump a few pixels because I couldn’t get the image in the tweening frames to be in the same spot. Very annoying. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
