can someone explain this to me???

i’ve got this code…

```auto
this.audioMC.vol_offBTN.onRelease = function() {
	audioMC.vol_onBTN._visible = true;
	audioMC.vol_offBTN._visible = false;
};
```

and the code is on the root level, but should i use \_root or this?? and is it this or \_this? and if I use this or root in the function name do I use it inside the function???
