Greetings,

I have a need for a blocking call that involves loading resources. How is this typically achieved in AS3? I know the standard process is to use callbacks and what not, but in this particular case I really do want a blocking call. I tried a tight loop and the resource loading doesn’t seem to ever interrupt - I assume this is a result of Flash’s single thread execution…any advice?

Thanks.

Matt
