Hello, I want to set up a text box so that people can put their name in, in english and have it translated into another language…

Anyone ever heard of anything like this?

Or know of a way to do it?

I know I could hardcode the names in… but that would be crazy… and take way to much time and space…

Thanks
kj

It wouldn’t take too much space if you put all the names in a database and have Flash talk to the database.

Hey man I remember you!
You are the one with the restaurant book!

We chatted on here a year or more ago…

Yeah… I am giving up on this name translations idea…

Yes, it is I. I’m still addicted to the Kirupaforums.

Anyhow. I would totally give up on your translation thing. Some projects need a lot of data entery. This is just one of those projects.

I think it requires Flash Remoting though :sigh:
