# Transparent flash movie over a webpage?

i want to be able to have a flash movie (with a transparent background) come in over a webpage. say for instance i have a flash movie of a guy walking… i want to slide it in from the left… pause it… and then slide it off the right (or just close for that matter) so that it looks like the guy would be walking over the text, images, etc.
can anyone help?

sure, but it will only work on IE on Windows…
in HTML animate a layer (if you don’t know how, then look in DW help), then on that layer put a transparent Flash movie (by changing your publish settings).

DW = DreamWeaver/ some sort of WYSIWYG HTML editor, i.e. FrontPage, Homesite, etc.
If you don’t have one of these yet, just go to [Macromedia.com](http://Macromedia.com) and d/l a trial version, then buy it… It will be one of the best investments you can make, when you start out making sites.

when i use layers in dreamweaver, they dont line up correct when i view em on the actual site
