hi! i’m trying to make a skin for a FLV - it’s big and it’s very different from the skins that come with flash, anyway i thought it shouldn’t be too difficult, as long as i stuck to all the naming conventions and nesting of movie clips as the help files suggest… i have done, i’m about halfway through the skin and thought i’d test it out and see if i was getting anywhere… it appears i’m not ![](http://forum.kirupa.com/uploads/kirupa/2881/dd00c593c8ba56af.gif) i added the skin to the skins folder in flash with all the rest but when i choose it while importing my video file, i see no preview, just the blank black box as if i’d chosen ‘no skin’. then it places the video on the stage with no skin. but if i try and preview the movie i just get a blank screen, no skin, no video… i realise that there are probably a hell of a lot of things i may have left out, though i have tried to follow the layout of one of the readymade skins as closely as possible… one thing is that i do have background behind the video - might that be an issue? the skin encloses the video completely rather than being just a strip at the bottom… so, if anyone has any advice or ideas where i might be going wrong, i’d be very grateful to hear from you! thanks!! emma. oh here’s a screenshot to give you an idea: ![](http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/1336/skinshotrs7.jpg)
