I really don’t know if this is the right place to post this question, please forgive me if it isn’t :P.

I don’t know if it is my eye or a video editing filter or effect but it seems to me that TV videos have a different tone than home videos. TV videos have a colour tone that makes them feel like professional videos while home mades have that rough and crude feel. I was wondering, how can I achieve this with either After Effects, Premiere or Combustion?

Any link, guide or suggestion is appreciated.
