# Type tool in photoshop cs2

hi friends

i have installed adobe creative suite a couple of weeks back.  
all of a sudden the type tool does’nt seem to be working in photoshop cs2.  
i even tried having a black background with white color for text. all i see is a small square box when i click on the document after selecting the type tool.

i have even tried un-installing and re-installing the whole package but, still the same problem.

can anyone help me here??
