# Update profile problems

Howdy!
Im trying to update my profile (adding a sig), but when hitting the submit-button after the change, I get a message saying I need to enter a valid e-mail adress.
It is a hotmail, so is it possible that the forum is set to not validate hotmail-accounts?

hmm… im not sure why its doing that. it shouldnt. let me try and contact kirupa. and i will try to get an answer for you when i can=)

I use hotmail, so that isn’t it…

i think they fourms are having problems because of the change over. i just tried to edit a post and i got a action cancled screen. but it seems to be working now.
i also have a hotmail account and it doesnt seem to be bothering this.=)

Thanks for the answers.
As far as I know, Im properly logged in (have to log in when pushing the “user cp” button), but I still get the same response-message each time I try to update my sig (“edit profile”, but the “edit options” works just fine, though:
“Please enter a valid email address. Press the back button and correct it.”
Probably some option checked on the phpBB-forum, but if other people with hotmail can edit their profile, then I dunno…
