basically I am using flash to display XML data locally on a computer, is it possible for Flash to replace that XML file stored on my computer with another one from the internet when the user clicks on an Update button for example?

Thanks

interesting - I think you’d have to have flash execute some external script, or look into flashes new file/browse classes and see if it allows you to download as well as overwrite and existing local file - or you can look into [http://www.screentime.com/software/mprojector/](http://www.screentime.com/software/mprojector/) I’ve been very happy using this softwares - it gives you a ton of system functionalities, saving files, net connections etc.
