# Uploading my flash intro with preloader

hi,

i am doing my first flash intro. i have completed the preloader tutorial ([http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/percentagepreloader.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/percentagepreloader.htm), is this an “external preloader”???) by lostinbeta and have put my intro after that on the same .fla file. First of all is this the correct way to do it???

Secondly, i am unsure when it comes to actually putting my flash intro on a .html page. The way i do it is go to “File/Export Movie” and save my preloader and intro (which are all in one file) as a .swf file. Then i go to dreamweaver, click on the flash button and insert my flash intro in. Is this the right way to do this??

The only reason i ask this is because when i test it by uploading the files on my webspace it takes so long to load that i have never actually seen it on the page (and my web provider is not incredibly slow either), also the intro is small, like only 3 frames long. This is what makes me think i am doing something wrong. I tested the tutorial i did as well and it never loads on my page but loads extremely quickly on [kirupa.com](http://kirupa.com) URL above.

Possibly someone can walk me through the way they upload a flash intro with percentage preloader. Any help would be great
