> Is an “S” still an “S” if you turn it upside down?
> This simple question has plagued me for years. It was asked at a family get together somewhat randomly by my father, and blew up into a huge discussion that continues to this day. My dad (and I) believe that the answer is “yes,” while my sister believes that the answer is “no.”

  **Option 1

```
\*\*Argument: _Draw an arrow pointing up. Now if you turn it so that the up arrow is pointing down, it is upside down._
Conclusion: _Yes_
\*\*Option 2
\*\*Argument: _Point up with your hand. Now if we point that side down, it is turned upside down._
Conclusion: \*No
