# Urban effect, bright and fading

Hei guys,  
came across this awesome photo effect ( [http://www.bustler.net/index.php/article/helsinki\_central\_library\_entry\_by\_kubota\_bachmann\_architects\_martinez/](http://www.bustler.net/index.php/article/helsinki_central_library_entry_by_kubota_bachmann_architects_martinez/) - second picture) I would like to use for a project and was wondering if anybody knows how to get that somehow luminous yet sharp urban look with the fading background using photoshop. I don’t know exactly how to describe the effect so it was difficult to google this. Did some experiments with contrast/brightness and desaturation but can’t get it quite right. Any suggestions? Thanks.
