I have this fancy menu function I’m attempting to make, but I’ve run into a problem that I can’t seem to find a solution to.

The menu items animate by using jquery .css() and adding a transition/translate styles. When items are off screen they are given a default 100% y value. The issue is that when I “scroll” up I want the item animating in to have a specific starting point. [http://jsfiddle.net/NQeUr/2/](http://jsfiddle.net/NQeUr/2/) illustrates what I’m essentially doing. Regardless of where the default offscreen position is, I will still need the starting point at 11%.

This website has an example of what I want to achieve but horizontally: [http://www.adamhartwig.co.uk/awards](http://www.adamhartwig.co.uk/awards)

If you take a look at the source, logos that have a default of 100% and have an end point of 13% or something, animate in from the left and not the right, which tells me he somehow changed the start point.
