# Using variables from the url

Hi all. I am making a flv player and was wondering if there is anyway I can pass variables from the url to my flash movie. Ive tried using flashvars in the param and embed tags, but it doesn’t seem to work in a AS3 file. I tried doing the same for a AS2 file and it loaded the variables fine. If someone could please help me out it would be much appreciated.
