# Var question

i have 2 frames.  
on frame one there is a button with a instance enter\_btn  
there is a inputtext field with a var named input\_mc

then on frame 2 there is a dynamic textfield with a var called output\_mc

now i want the user to be able to fill in a name and then click the button and go to frame 2 and the name shows up there.  
But if the user doesn’t fill in a name and press a button i want it to stay on frame one and make input\_mc say “please fill in you name here”  
.  
This is my script for now but it doesn’t work when i fill in something.

```auto
stop();
enter_btn.onPress = function() {
    input_mc = output_mc();
    if (input_mc = ""){
        gotoAndStop(2);
    } else {
        (input_mc = "fill in please")
    }
};

```

got the code on frame on in a layer called actions.

please help me out.
