# Variable content width + border, no tables?

I couldn’t figure this one out. Maybe some of the css/standards pros out there can help me out.

Basically, I have blocks with an image and a lower caption. Around these, a border. All images and text are completely dynamic and size unknown. How do I make a fitting border? See image:
