I’m seeing cards with GDDR3 and GDDR4 and I was wondering is there any motherboard requirements for those cards? My video card is crapping out and I am starting to shop around for a new one. I don’t want to replace everything if I don’t have to, well I do want to replace everything, but don’t want to spend the cash right now:P

I’m looking at these right now:

I’m starting to get into Maya, I want a card that can handle high poly modeling. I do some gaming, but I’m constantly trying to curb the habit.

My current motherboard is an Asus A8n-Sli Premium
