Hi guys,

I’ve created an AS3 video player that uses the good ol’ progressive download connection. It is the typical video player with a progress bar, controls, playhead etc. I now need to change this connection to a rtmp stream from a wowza server. I understand how to change the connection but I am completely unsure how to allow the user to seek randomly ahead of the buffer. I would also like, if time allows it, to test the users connection speed and then assign an appropriate quality stream.

I’ve looked around the web for any tutorials/source on the random seeking but I’ve had absolutely no luck except finding numerous plug-ins. Does anyone know any tutorials/source that can point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Steven.
