# Vista 64 bit Vs. Premiere Pro 2

\*Mods, feel free to move this if it’s misplaced, and if so, my bad in advance.

Okay, so I’m trying to get Premiere Pro 2 running on a box with 64 Bit Vista. It’s not working. I turned DEP off, and I got it to install okay. When it boots up, however, it tells me that the sound card doesn’t support direct input. The program hangs once loaded.

\*I’ve updated all of my video card and sound card drivers.  
\*I’ve reinstalled DirectX.  
\*I’ve tried running the program as an admin, in 32 bit compatibility mode, and as both  
\*Disabled UAC, still no dice.  
\*All permissions for all users are enabled

…and I will sacrifice an unblemished head of cattle in the name of whomever can help me flesh this out, to any supernatural being of your choosing. :blah:
