# Volume Slide Bar Animation

Hey All,

I’ve got a horizontal volume slide bar that’s working without a problem. However I need to make the “bar” part of the slide a little more intricate.

Currently it’s just a blue bar. I need to break it down into an “equalizer”-looking bar (just a bunch of small rectangles lined up next to each other) that “lights up” as the volume increases and decreases.

Any idea how I might do this? I was thinking of doing something along the lines of having a separate movie clip, with a motion tween of the “lighting up”. Then have AS control the position of the movieclip based on where the slider is. However I’m not sure if 1) there’s a better way to do this, and 2) how well this idea will work. 🙂

Any suggestions would be great.
