# Volume Slider issue

Hi,

I am building the Volume Slider using the following tutorial at Kirupa. But the only concern I have is , I would like to set the initial volume to 50%. I made the dragger’s initial position to be at the middle. But the problem is , the dragger is only effective with the press event. So even though the dragger is at 50%, the actual volume is not. It gets into effect only when you press and release the dragger. Is there any other way that I can set the intial volume to  
50% so that the user hears the volume initially?
