# Webcam Driver Issue

Hello everyone,

Just purchased an HP Pavilion dv6000 the other day (Vista Home Premium 32-bit).

Now I assume this is just another Vista incompatibility - but I downloaded the driver for the built-in webcam off the HP site, restarted the laptop - and kaboom.

Of course said there was some bad stuff with a driver in there - I somehow managed to get it off - but shouldn’t the driver work? I talked with an HP technician and he advised me to try again and get back to HP with the problem if it happens again.

Also, a friend of mine recently bought the same model of laptop (didn’t tell me about the webcam driver) but he had the same problems.

I’m kind of scared to try again. :look: So should I just leave it (I kind of really want the webcam :evil2:).
