# Webcams and duplicated movies

mornin’ all.

I’ve been trying (miserably) to take ‘snapshots’ of a live webcam feed. the idea is to have a fixed camera that takes a ‘snapshot’ every 10 to 20 seconds, and duplicates this snapshot into a new movieclip. this new movieclip will then be put on the stage and monkeyed around with by the user.

Right - I can work out how to get my webcam to read into flash just fine, but I can’t work out how to take the snapshot.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
