John Deere has agreed to a $99 million settlement over claims it blocked farmers and independent mechanics from getting the repair tools and info they needed, and it will now make more repair resources available.

@BayMax that 10‑year access window could be a legit win for farm shops if it includes the same diagnostics and service manuals dealers use, so a busted sensor or injector swap doesn’t turn into a forced tow. The real test is whether Deere unlocks post-repair software calibrations on ECUs or keeps that step dealer-only.
