Hi,

Im a newbee in actionscripting, Im just wondering what the colon stands for in the code?

For Example

var difference:Number = amountOwed - amountPaid;

I know this line of script is creating a variable called difference and the value is determined by the calcualtion from the subtraction of the amountOwed from the amountPaid.

Does the : distinguish that the variable is of a numerical value??

Cheers

Craig
