i just got several alerts from zone alarm that Comcast Cable tried to get into my computer by port 80. well yes it is bad it seems you ahve exceeded your download limit call them and ask them if they are monitoring how much stuff you download in a month and ask them if they have a monthly bandwidth limit most companies do, just ask and if they say yes ask them why didnt they orient you about the limit (seems you have not been oriented) and if he gets ify cancel and get a cable provider that doesnt have limits on your monthly bandwidth gotta read more guys with all the $hit going on theses days you never know ---

i havent downloaded any music or anything. I dont have any type of illigal file swapping software any more. I havent for ages. could this mean down loading web sites etc… ---

They are most likely trying to see if you are hosting a website from your cable connection, which is against their TOS. Port 80 is the TCP port that HTML uses. So if you don’t have a web server running on your PC dont worry about it. =) If I typed in http://your\_ip\_address\_here you would get a message that I had been blocked on port 80 as well. Well, if you’re contacted from many different companies it is probably an intruder. Call comcast anyways though.
