# Whats the difference between gotoAndPlay and \_root.gotoAndPlay?

I’m wondering whats the difference between the 2, goto and .root\_goto. I remember when I first started working with flash gotoAndPlay would never work for me. When I would put root on it, it would. Anyone know how to explain this to me?
