# What's up with all of this great alternative rock/pop music?!

I don’t know if its just me, has anyone else noticed that some of the new alternative albums released recently are just really good?

The list I came up with is:  
[LIST]  
[_] **Veckatimiset** by Grizzly Bear  
[_] **xx** by xx  
[_] **Fantasies** by Metric  
[_] **Woflgang Amadeus Phoenix** by Phoenix  
[_] **Contra** by Vampire Weekend  
[_] **Ocean Eyes** by Owl City  
[_] **Tonight** by Franz Ferdinand  
[_] **Day & Age** by The Killers (maybe not alternative)  
[\*] **Only by the Night** by Kings of Leon (maybe not alternative)  
[/LIST]For the bands that have been around for a while such as Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Metric, and Franz Ferdinand, their latest albums are just much better than their earlier ones.

There must have been something in the tap water starting in 2007/2008 that helped with all of this :drink:
