I bought the first edition for Flash 5, and pre-ordered his new MX edition that should blow away all Flash MX actionscripting books! Most books by Friends of Ed are also good: [www.friendsofed.com](http://www.friendsofed.com)

It’s a talent, u can’t animate or create cartoons that easy, well, Try friendsofed books, i believe they are good. [[link](http://www.friendsofed.com/)] What about the actionscript language, its one of the main features in flash, without using it, u hardly can ever build a website with flash. ASDG is coming, so be prepared.

Friends of Ed books are awesome, the Flash Math Creativity is not for the light of heart - but it can really open your mind (once you have a really good grasp on Flash though)… also Flash MX Studio by the same people is ver excellent, it’ll help a new user to stay away from tweens and learn more actionscript - good luck!! and happy flashing.

Peace
