when it comes to incorporating cgi, asp, php and such – which one is better to use and which one is easier to use?

well i use (or learning to use) php
but thay say that php is easier but asp is better…
cgi \<-- thats the hardest of them all !?!

master 64 – 🙂 i am finding out that you are right – this cgi is for the birds. _snirt_ so i will sitck with php
but i am curious as to why asp is better than php. (when it comes to server side scripting i am way lost.

asp itself is not “better” than php nor is php “better” than asp. It depends on what you have access to. If I have a project that is on a windows server, I use ASP, if the server is a \*nix server then I use PHP.
[ASP.net](http://ASP.net) is the more powerful “better” language, but that is usually not an option…
Stick with PHP. You can do much with the basics and its very easy to learn, very straightforward coding.

thank you guys – i appreciate it a lot.
i have been reviewing tutorials and such and what i am discovering is that almost everyone does it a little different. i think that is where i am getting confused. i dont know what to put where. and the more i look at the tuts the more confused i become. but… i am determined to figure it out on my own first before i ask for help _snirt_
p.s. love the banner master64 – darn thing is addicting
