# Which version of Flash Player in IE 6

Plz  
Which Version of Flash Player is default installed in IE6 (WIN XP after clean installation)  
I can´t find it anywhere. On my PC runs Vers. 8 already 😏

I’m sorry to say that I don’t know. However I do think you’re asking the wrong question. I imagine that you are asking this question to check for compatibility, but a detection script is a better way to do that. So, is that why you were asking?

A clean install of XP Pro does Not include any flash player !! mabey xp home has it and if it does it’s probably flash player 6.

The question was about default Flash Player Version in IE 6 - if exist.  
If practically the user don´t have internet connection (Without possibility to update Flash Player.) and try to start off-line flash project in browser - example from CZ.  
I read somewhere that the default IE does not have any flash player inside and make auto update in backround if internet connection exist and install the required Flash Player.

Yes, that’s what I said. After a Clean Install of Windows XP with IE6, there is No Flash Player installed with the new operating system or in IE.  
You have to go online and download it before you can view any flash movies.
