# Why all the good sites are hosted on (mt)?

hi
i was wondering why there’s so much ppl hosting his site on (mt)?
they have any special program that hosts for free if you have x hits or something like that? just curiosity because i have been noticing that lots of the good sites are hosted there
i guess it’s probably not about the price… at least i guess they are not so cheap like that… 7.5$ month with 2 mysql db, 250mb space and 15gb trafic monthly… i pay about 45$ year with 20 mysql db 200mb space and unlimited trafic…
they are offering something that i don’t see?

Search.
They get hosting free so MT can say they host them.

yeah companies will host several sites for free to get the word out(advertise)

some sites can look really bad and when they are hosted on MT they turn it in to a fad

A major number of sites are hosted on MT for a number of reasons. Some are sponsored, not hosted, others go for the high realibity, others because well kwown sites are hosted there, service, or pricing. But there are other good services out there. Unflux, MediumCube, FL, Xerohosting, etc.

Lots of sites are similarly hosted on [2advanced.net](http://2advanced.net) these days. I’m guessing the bigger sites get it for free. (Like maybe Billy Bussey)
