# Why can't I run AIR applications

Hello,

I recently made an AIR application. When I am using the Flash authoring tool and hit ctrl-enter, the AIR app works. When I try to run just the AIR app outside of the Flash authoring environment it does not work properly. It launches but everything is blinking.

The ultimate goal is to run this app on another person’s computer.

What am I doing wrong?
