I recently made an animation, uploaded it to the web and then decided to show all of my friends. Most of my friends use IE, and they cannot view the movie. I dodnt realise untill one of them asked why it wasn’t loading, so i checked with IE (i use firefox).

It is a streaming flash animation, with no preloader, and it seems to take forever to load.

I uploaded the file to deviant art and it works perfectly there, in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Any ideas?

The links are:

[http://boswell.freefronthost.com/random/cillit\_bang.swf](http://boswell.freefronthost.com/random/cillit_bang.swf)

The swf works fine in IE, but i’d rather not give that link to my friends as it has the obvious problems of showing more than the stage area.

any help is appreciated :thumb2:

If you look at the source code, you have two different names for the swf value.
embed src="cillit\_bang.swf"
and
value=“Cillit\_Bang.swf”

I forget which one is for IE and other for Mozilla, but the path is case sensitve. So make sure they match the name of the swf =)

haha, yep silly me!

Thanks Rhamej.

I actually changed the filename to lower case, to PREVENT this sort of thing happening, but it seems i forgot that i’d done it.

I’m not usually this dumb, honest =)
