The forums are not n00b forums= anyone who thinks vB is n00b software IMO is a n00b. And sure- making racial jokes may be funny in context (my skin colour is dark so I make “black” jokes in funny situations in face to face conversation (Thought im not black…)) but in no circumstance should you ever make jokes yourself. The kirupa forums have been around for years and survived what ever the heck people like you throw at it. Please show a little respect to the members. THough some people might not be offended, u have to realise that this is a multi-cultural community and this is not tolerated. ---

Yes, it’s Dae. I take back what I said. I’m really sorry for what I said, psmith. I just realized how the comment came off in the shower a second ago. :-/ I can’t believe I didn’t notice how racist a comment it was. It implies black people are slow, because the OP is slower when it comes to Flash. I must not have realized that for a few reasons. The OP is proficient in Photoshop, and such, so I never even thought I might be implying anyone’s slow. I really wanted to put, “It’s because you’re green” from Shrek, but I decided to turn it into a question instead, “Are you green,” and because that didn’t make sense, I turned it into “Are you black.” (Becuase that is the color used in the original phrase, “It’s because I’m black isn’t it?”) So I didn’t even mean to say what I posted, and I had the comment viewed differently in my mind because of that. Now that I interpet it the way you guys do, I’m suprised anyone found it funny. It was late (check the date,) and I wasn’t thinking. I’ve had a project on my mind the past few days so it took me a while to realize what I said. Why would I intentionally make a racist comment? I know kirupa isn’t white, and I’m aware there are different nationalities here (look at the amount of flags you see around kirupa.) I’m Canadian, so obviously it’s very socially unacceptable anywhere I’ve been. I’m geniunely sorry for the comment psmith, and other kirupa viewers out there. I deserve the banning. I really ask that it’s temporary though, considering I’m not that new, and I’ve never been warned or had problems here before. In fact this is the only time I’ve been so stupid to make anything close to racist, and I only say those dumb phrases going around once and a while then I think it would be funny. eg. A guy asks another, “Didn’t you like turn 10 last week,” and we obviously know he’s like 16, and I’ll say happy birthday. I’m trying to make a joke, a burn at the most - I’m not trying to offend. [ot]Oh, and btw, yeah vB isn’t that bad. But IPB and vB are in the running for the best forum software, right at 50% preference from every topic on it. However, they both cost money you know, and I think IPB is cheaper, and used to be free. I’ve tried both for more than 6 months each, and I’m just an IPB fanboy. I love it’s style, admin cp, and more. vB tends to bug out on me sometimes, maybe it’s because of my Firefox. I have an updated version, but I have intense processor consumption problems with it sometimes.[/ot] ---

It happens on both my computers and I’m not sure why. It isn’t a very common problem with Firefox, but it’s not unheard of, and I haven’t found a solution.
