Ok, while learning flash8 -since i am a brand new flash user- i found a nice tutorial here in kirupa about hover caption. ([http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/hover\_captions.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/hover_captions.htm)). So i decided to change some stuff and put the entire thing inside of a movie clip. It works just half. Since i am able to create the text, but the background is not “following” the text. Its static. Can anyone help? PLEASE?!?! I was able to attach the file. Please check it out. Cheers! Leo :sen: ---

u have the cap mc, that is called with AS, the blue shape, backgroud, was outside this cap mc so it would be static, cause no code can interact with that shape… just put the shape inside the mc and voila… 🙂 ---

Something is telling me that this is gonna sound really stupid ( i will blame the fact that i have a hungover )… **BUT how do u put the shape inside of the mc ?** sorry… 😉 ---

try to select the mc move it to another position then select the shape cut it (ctrl+x) doble click the mc to open it when inside the mc cap paste the shape hope this helps (sometimes we get stuck :p) ---
