# Why us?

i have noticed a lot of people creating websites in this vein: [INSERT NAME] STUDIOS or [INSERT NAME] DESIGN… nothing wrong with that… most ad agencies are named after the founder and partners…

but the thing that strikes me as odd is the use of the word “us” in a lot of sites that have one person’s work on them.

i guess my real question is why do so many people make their sites 3rd person plural?

personally, i find it distracting and dishonest when people pretend to be a “studio” rather than just 1 guy.
