Hi,

Ive been making websites for only 6 months. The last 2 sites Ive built I have made wide-screen, in order to first; resolve the problem of viewers all having different resolutions. But secondy because I think its looks good.

However the everso well spoken and helpful Anogar informs me it’s a beginner’s mistake. See: [http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251480](http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251480)

Does anyone know why? Is it a performance, platform or technical thing? if so what exactly? …or is it simply down to aesthetics and taste?
