how can i control all mc that has a similar pattern in AS.
eg, i have mc1part1, mc2part5, … until mc100part6.
the same pattern is mc_part_.
and if i want to make them invisible, its troublesome to assign every one of them to invisble.
so, is there anyway to select them all in one command like dos or unix.
thanks.

for (var stuff in this){
if(this[stuff].\_name.lastIndexOf(“part”)){
this[stuff].\_visible = false;
}
}

with that code in a timeline that contains your ‘part’ clips, all those clips will become invisible. ‘part’ can not be the first thing in a name (i.e. part100).
