Im having poblems with installing microsoft serverpack 1. It wont lett me install it after downloading the file. Its the windows cd key. I must change that, its not the real windows cd that I bought, but now I have the real one. I need to reenter it. is there a way to do this. There is a way, but you’d have to go sniffing in the registry for that. ---

Be warned, it is very dangerous to mess with your registry. If you do everything correct, nothing should go wrong, but do NOT start changing everything you come across. Be EXTREMELY careful ! ---

firstly, stop saying “Thank you for your cooperation and have a good day”… being a robot is cool. pretending to talk like one is not 😉 rather than go through the hassle and associated risks of messing with your registry… why don’t you just do a format and clean install using your new copy of XP? ---

For the first part. Its very boring. beying a robot is cool, yes :sure: for the second part. it takes long time to do it. I Just found somthing in my “system” files. its a .pdf file that tells u how. I dont know if its allowed to post this here. can I post it ? ---

Maybe because I have done things like this before. Its not my first time, but after I have done it, I found some errors in some system files. There is files who are damaged in win xp pro. and O tried to fix the files, but the files are locked, and I need the server pack to fix these files. The files are also for the xp key. hmm Ⓜ ---

switch to linux 😛 Seriously, the next time I reformat, I’m going to partition my hard drive in two, install windows on one and Red Hat on the other. I blindly hope that MM will release Flash 7 for Linux :-\ ---

Yes I wish I have linux but I cant find a cd that is bootable and redhat linux on it. installing it like windows, very easy. I dont like to download that big file. ☹ ---
