# Working in flash mx with video

i am in the process of making a flash presentation with embedded quicktime video files. the files are compressed and small but unfortunatley the presentation is very long. when i publish, the swf is almost 200 megabytes! am i doing something totally whacky? does anyone know anything about special video/publish settings i can look into? do i need to upgrade to MX 2004 (ive heard the professional version has many extended video features)?  
any info would be great, thanks!
