Hello,

i am building a website full of audio/video files. I am wondering what the best way is to handle it. I want it to be as secure as possible, making it difficult (if possible) for people to steal the files. It sounds as if having external files would be easier to handle and more secure, but how to display my audio and video pages. A description of the pages: full page with rows of audio clips with play buttons, then they click a button and it plays. So maybe having one flash file repeated throughout the page, with different variables sent to it so it loads the different flash files. Would this work? And should I play them with streaming or what? I really don’t know how I should list this.

I would prefer people didn’t steal my audio files. I don’t know if I explained this all really clearly, but any advice I can get would be useful please, thank you.

Tyler

First of all anything can be stolen if it is heard or seen on the internet. And secondly, use flash and load externally (mostly for load time) other than that your take uneeded steps to protect your things. You can watermark your videos and insert the spoken word “preview of audio clip” into your audio. This will ruin it for people who try to get them.
