# Xml and variables

I am making a simple xml menu. but, I want the swf menu to be on one site… and the xml will be hosted on the other.

the embed tag would look something like

```auto
<embed src="so and so.swf" flashvars="xml=http://thissite.com/name.xml">

```

Does that make sense? What can i add in the flash file so i can link to an xml through the embed tag.  
I don’t want to link to the xml via fla file.
