# XML doc is for...?

now that i have about 60 lines of XML-constructing actionscript.  
by the way, this horrendous and ugly amount of code results in this:

//trace: “hello, I am mike”  
can someone explain to me what REAL WORLD purpose there is in typing 60 lines of new XML() stuff that ends up generating “hello I am mike” ?

thanks in advance  
(remember, you don’t have to defend the fact that there’s 60 lines of code typed just to output such a meaningless crumb of String data, just a practical explanation would be great.thanks.
