# XML dynamic load slowing down movie

Hello,

I’ve encountered an odd error. I have a movie which loads in XML files for data. It’s got an XML generated menu which when items are pressed, a new XML file loads in to fill a movieclip holding text fields with data.

The menu uses a blur/alpha in effect that works very well when the movie starts. However, I noticed the frame rates drop significantly as I load in more and more XML files (which should be replacing the old ones. Any ideas?
