# Xml error - why-oh why?

Hello fellow programmer,  
I am doing the AS3 xml tutorial [http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flashcs3/using\_xml\_as3\_pg2.htm](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flashcs3/using_xml_as3_pg2.htm) and I have the first bit of script in my actions window but every time I preview it gives me this error:

Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. URL: file:  
///C|Flash%20Items/flashProjects/Slideshow/sampleXML.xml  
at Slideshow\_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()

Does anyone know what is wrong? :puzzled:

The tutorial says to load the xml from the internet but the computer I am doing the flash on is not connected to the internet so I have it loading from my computer. I don’t know that that has anything to do with it though.
