# XML - using dynamic filters

Hi!

I use AS3 to read an XML and filter the results.  
However, is there a way to use a string var to make a dynamic request, then use it to apply filters?

I would like to replace:

```php
var myXMLFile.items.item.(size > 100 && size <100).name;

```

by

```php
var myRequest:String = "size > 100 && size <100";
var myXMLFile.items.item.(myRequest).name;

```

Unfortunately, it does not work ☹

Does someone have an idea to help? 🙂
